KMA and Seoul Physicians Association reconciled

Noh Hwan Kyu, President of the Korean Medical Association and Lim Su Heum, President of Seoul Physicians Association reconciled at the meeting on March 6 and decided to cooperate for the scheduled strike on March 10.

Noh said, “I didn’t use the word of “agreement” at the joint press conference with the Ministry of Health and Welfare on February 18, but Lim said he was upset at that word. We resolved misunderstanding between us.”

He added, “We decided to stand united for the strike on March 10. It is just around the corner and we will do our best,”

Lim admitted that previous misunderstanding was resolved, planning to announce his position.

Officials of local doctors associations said that their presidents will make a decision about a joint statement soon.
