Youngjin is ready to start the phase I clinical trial of YBH-1603, a combination drug to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and prostate enlargement.

YBH-1603 contains tadalafil (Cialis) and tamsulosin (Harnal). Hanmi and lldong have already started developing the same combo. It is known that 30-40% of patients with ED have prostate problems.

Dongkook is developing a different combo drug that contains tadalafil and dutasteride (Avodart).

A pharmaceutical marketer said, “A significant number of pharmaceutical companies plan to market their generic versions of Cialis immediately after the patent expires. The combo drugs with tadalafil will differentiate themselves from simple copycat drugs.”
