Pharmacies are upset at the news and notices that YDP went out of business on November 24.

Online pharmaceutical suppliers said they would notify pharmacies of the following procedures about returns and refunds later.

A pharmacist in Kangnam said, “I didn’t know YDP’s closure at all and just found the notice. I have the returns worth 300,000 won. I need to wait for the further notice.”

Other pharmacist in Seocho said, “I heard rumors a couple of months ago, but I didn’t expect the sudden closure.”

A president of Seoul Pharmacists sub-association said, “Pharmacies should cope with the closure of YDP’s business. YDP has its business with many pharmacies.”

Some pharmacists point that online wholesale companies collect the payments sooner than usual wholesalers, but their margins have been too thin.
