GS25 said on Tuesday that many small packages of dietary supplements helped its sales go up between January and November.

GS25 rolled out small packages of GNC Vitamin in June for the first time as a convenience store chain.

The unit price of GNC Vitamin was set at the same or less at GS25, compared to bulk sizes of the same product at pharmacies as it could purchase GNC Vitamin directly from the manufacturer and cut its labor costs.

Later Daewoong also provided calcium, iron, and omega-3 fatty acids and supplements for liver for convenience stores in September.

GS25 said, “More consumers are buying dietary supplements at convenience stores. We will introduce more diversified dietary supplements in the near future.”

GS25’s sales of dietary supplements almost doubled. Those products target the households with 1 or 2 people only.
