The government’s joint investigation team raided the headquarters and Incheon branch office of Geoyoung and seized accounting books and hard drives, sources said on December 23.

It is said that the latest investigation was triggered by kickbacks between pharmaceutical companies and Geoyoung. It was rumored early this year that big pharmaceutical wholesale companies would be investigation targets.

Geoyoung racked up 1 trillion won in annual sales last year. It has diversified its business with the acquisition of Carecamp. Geoyoung is the biggest pharmaceutical wholesale company in South Korea.
